Bringing new warmth to Hotel Lucia
Bourbon Tones Bring New Warmth to Hotel Lucia
Located in the heart of downtown Portland, Hotel Lucia combines more than a century of history with a vibrant contemporary identity. As part of the renovation of its historic lobby, Mainstreet (ZZZ1002) was given a custom Bay City Bourbon finish, creating a rich and welcoming foundation that complements the hotel’s collection of art, bold furnishings and original architectural character.
Bespoke Bourbon tones
The custom Bay City Bourbon finish gives Mainstreet a deep, warm appearance designed specifically to complement Hotel Lucia’s interior palette. These rich timber tones introduce warmth and depth throughout the lobby, balancing contemporary furniture and artwork with the more established character of the historic building. The result is a floor that feels luxurious while remaining inviting and approachable.
Celebrating character grade oak
Specified in a Character grade, Mainstreet showcases the natural variation and distinctive grain of European Oak. These features bring texture and individuality to the expansive lobby floor, creating an organic contrast with the hotel’s refined finishes. The natural character of the timber also helps connect the contemporary renovation with a building that has welcomed guests since 1909.
Customized from Venture Plank
Mainstreet is part of Havwoods’ popular Venture Plank Collection, offering engineered European Oak flooring across an extensive choice of colors and finishes. For Hotel Lucia, the ability to customize Mainstreet allowed the flooring to be tailored specifically to the project’s design vision. The bespoke Bay City Bourbon finish demonstrates how Venture Plank can provide a distinctive foundation for hospitality interiors while retaining the natural beauty and character of European Oak.
